Sometimes we don’t always think that little things like coffee can affect our health but (unfortunately) it can!
⠀ ⠀
If you’re looking to tighten up or get a little healthier, I highly recommend paying attention to what you’re drinking. So many times we forget to account for drinks in our daily routine/diet, when just making a few tweaks can really make a big difference :)

So @Alyssalynch and I thought it would be fun to each share our go-to coffee orders and tips. What I love about her is that she eats a plant-based diet and stays super healthy, but loves sweet little treats like me 😍 And lattes are one of them haha. Here’s a little recap on video ➡️

1

When something is labeled “vanilla” latte, or “cinnamon cappuccino” (or basically anything with a specific flavor), ask them what they use. If it’s vanilla extract, actual cinnamon, or pure vanilla powder, great! But most of the time it isn’t 😬 If they’re using a syrup with “vanilla flavor”… highly recommend avoiding. There are added dyes, tons of processed sugar, and preservatives. ALTERNATIVE – add your own cinnamon (they almost always have it by the sugar / mixers. Starbucks also has nutmeg, I add both)!

2

Try a cafe au lait instead of a latte. This basically mixes half coffee with some steamed milk, instead of a shot of espresso with all steamed milk. It’s a good alternative since often times the milks used (even the plant-based ones) have a ton of added sugar.

Watch the video for the rest of our tips 😘

And one IMPORTANT thing to add: Please don’t misconstrue any of my health tips as obsessive, orthorexia, or anything of the sort. Believe it or not I eat around 2200 calories a day (I don’t measure, but that’s a guesstimate). The point of these tips is to improve your HEALTH, your skin, and your energy. In fact, most of the time it’s really not about cutting calories. It’s cutting out nasty ingredients that have been so overly processed your body doesn’t know what to do with them, and getting healthier will help you in ANY of your health goals, whether that includes losing weight or not. Love u guys🖤
