I made this super yummy green juice today, and I wanted to share with you guys :) I have some notes on the ingredients, but I’ve saved those for the end so we can get right into the recipe!

Ingredients:

Serves 2

  • 3 big cucumbers
  • 6 Celery stalks
  • One large piece of ginger (2-3 inches, adjust to taste)
  • 6 leaves romaine lettuce
  • 4 lemons

Instructions:

  1. Follow the instructions for your specific juicer. (I use this one!)
  2. Pour into glasses so you can store the extra (I use these), and enjoy!

This recipe is super light tasting! The lemon and ginger really balance out the greens so there’s no bitterness. I personally like a lot of ginger, but if you don’t, you can definitely lessen the amount! It just really helps mask the taste of the greens. Additionally, I don’t like to add fruit to my juices because the sugar content gets really high without being balanced by the fiber in the fruit (fiber gets removed in the juicing process). This is why I add lemon and ginger, to provide a tang and sweetness! When it comes to smoothies, I’ll definitely blend fruit because you’re still getting the fiber. How you juice is totally up to you and your goals, this is just what I personally do :)

Enjoy!
