I am going to re-learn Farsi, and I need a tutor in NYC! Like 5 days a week. I want to fully commit this time (this will be my 4th round of working with a tutor over the years. Lucky 4🙃)

I used to speak fluently as a kid, but completely lost it and have never been able to get it back. Learning languages just does not come naturally to me. I’m always so amazed and impressed by people who pick up multiple languages as adults! Like wow.

If any of my Iranians know a great tutor, someone who could do up to 5 days a week, please comment or message me! 🤍🤍

Heading back to the city now, swipe for some yummy plant-based food i had this weekend (coconut milk on ice is a favorite) 🧡 bikini is  @cultgaia sunglasses @versace
Fruit and coffee in the morning just do it for me. Fruit and coffee in the morning just do it for me. I like to ask for the fruit to come right away, have it as an appetizer so i can digest it a bit, then move on to whatever I’m having for breakfast

Fruit on its own / on an empty stomach / in the morning is something I’ve been doing for a few years. Of course I’m not a full stickler but i usually feel best doing it this way. I originally learned about this food combining principle from @_kimberlysnyder’s first book. But i continue to see other naturopathic doctors and Ayurvedic doctors believe in and follow this principle. On the other hand, many other food principles don’t believe in it at all. Lots of different opinions

I’m not here to say it’s right or wrong, i think it’s naive to believe that your way is the 100% right and only way. I’m just here to share my personal experience.. and I personally love it 🙌🏼🤍

Does anyone else feel better or notice a difference eating this way?
Things I value: true connections, friendships that Things I value: true connections, friendships that warm the soul, quality time, being good to myself in all forms of mental and physical well-being, LOVE, family, passion. Grateful for this special bond with my @melissawoodhealth. We met through Insta (3 1/2? 4? years ago. I can’t remember now) and our fate is lifelong friendship... calling it☺️💗

Btw - didn’t get the full experience of float tank bc we went in together and were laughing the whole time (we needed a catch up lol) but excited to try this amazing wellness practice another time. It’s been shown to help with anxiety, pain, stress and more.

Ate at @serafinanewyork after - the veggie salad with lemon dressing is more delicious than i can explain 😆 so is the pasta

Arrived in LA last night... my look for dinner! We Arrived in LA last night... my look for dinner! We went to @rosaline.la - SO good. The only pics i got with the artsy lighting lol... No pics of the amazing dinner either 🙈bc I’ve been finding it increasingly harder to get pics inside restaurants. I don’t know when the shift happened, but it just doesn’t feel appropriate for me to take out my phone and start taking pics and videos while in the middle of meaningful conversations. I prefer to be connected in the moment with the people I’m with. This obviously doesn’t bode well for a content creator, but just honestly sharing where I’m at right now 💙

Got outside for a walk before it started raining t Got outside for a walk before it started raining today. Fresh air (albeit city air) just really wakes me up and refreshes me. It can be so tempting to stay inside in sweats when it's gloomy (and sometimes it's the best thing ever) but I find I feel so much better mentally and physically when I get out and move. Especially in the morning 🤍

The last few days have been all about podcasts for me... consuming from some of my favorite people in the wellness space.
⠀ 
I'm just in love with learning how the mind and body work and what we can do to optimize them both. From mental health to physical health... I'm on a lifelong journey of finding the best ways to feel good. Lifelong because I'll never think I've learned enough ☺️ Emotionally / mentally you find that as you dig deeper, more comes up that you can work on and resolve. And in the wellness space, there's just new amazing research every second, so you learn and adjust. And most importantly... process the information in a way that doesn't feel stressful or make you feel like you're not doing enough. Whenever someone or something I'm consuming makes me feel like that or anxious at all I personally take a break from the content and come back when it feels right again. Does wonders 😊

I’ve been sharing a lot more of my thoughts and I’ve been sharing a lot more of my thoughts and passion around clean living in regards to products, food, etc... and  there’s some things I’d like to elaborate on...

I most definitely do not live a perfectly clean life. But I do my absolute best, especially within the last 6 months - 1 year as I’ve really taken a dive in and educated myself. My personal philosophy is to go 100% clean when I’m in control and when there’s comparable options. So.. all of my cleaning supplies, hand soaps, shampoo and conditioner, food, snacks, etc are clean. There are just too many available options on the market, why wouldn’t I choose clean ones?

With that said, i do NOT beat myself up when I’m in public and can’t find the options i prefer. When i eat out at restaurants, i know very well that they might use canola oil or vegetable oil in my food. And if I’m at a gas station and starving and the only plant-based thing i can find is a protein bar with soy lecithin and natural flavors, I’m not going to feel guilty or freak out. I feel good about what i do the majority of the time in my day to day life...

On the other hand, honestly, sometimes there aren’t comparable options to something you love. Like my perfume - it’s not clean, but i LOVE it. And i can’t find a clean one i love. So, i use it, but try to avoid spraying it directly on my skin.  I still choose to avoid fragrance in skincare and beauty products, because there are too many available options for me not to. It just feels like a no brainer. I personally don’t think that’s hypocritical, i think it’s smart and practical. Im still reducing my overall exposure, and again, i’m doing my best (As soon as @officialbyredo makes their perfume clean I’ll be set 🤪)
