Since I often get asked a lot about my career, I wanted to make this quick post to share what my career path was and what I *actually* do!

So, I’m Persian (Iranian), and in Persian culture you typically have to become a doctor, lawyer, engineer, or something similar. So I went to pharmacy school right out of high school and as soon as I started working, I hated it. But I was stuck…. I had all these student loans, had just gone to school for 6 years, and I was like “Sooo what am I supposed to do with my life now?!” I had NO idea what to do, so that’s when I decided to start building content online.

I basically spent the next 4 or 5 years after that building content online while I was working as a pharmacist. My thought process was to build content and leverage and then have different career options in the future so I wasn’t stuck with one thing. Now, when it comes to the world of social media and creating content online, or any new business, my advice is two-fold:

1. Do you really love it? Like I mean would you do it for FREE for the rest of your life? If that’s the case then you’re already on the right track :)

2. Are you actually good at it? Like are you really knowledgeable on this topic? Whether it’s entertaining, whether it’s teaching, so on and so forth… Can you really explain it well?

If you have both those things, then I can’t imagine NOT going for it! The point is, be realistic and have self awareness, while chasing your HAPPINESS. That’s what matters the most!
